David Lukacs (1978 Breda) plays clarinet and tenor saxophone.
His swinging style is a combination of a warm tone together with a rich improvisation.
He graduated from "The Royal Conservatory"of The Hague and got lessons from Amarican clarinet player John Ruocco.
He also took lessons from Scott Hamilton, Barry Harris and Lee Konitz.
In 1998 he won the "Kobe Jazz Award" (best young solo performer).
He toured in Japan with international groups featuring: Bill Berry, Benny Powell and Tom Baker.
David Lukacs was also featured in several television and radio shows.
In Holland he is part of groups like "The Jimmie Lunceford Legacy Orchestra"and "Kansas City After Dark".
