Anatoli Kotchebine

Anatoli Kotchebine was born in Moscow, Russia in 1983. He received piano lessons from the early age of five at the Moscow City School of Music. Since August 1998 Anatoli lives in The Hague. He studied at the Royal Conservatory with Kamilla Bystrova and Naum Grubert. In 2006 he received his Bachelor’s degree and in 2008 his Master of Music degree with honours.
He performed as a soloist with the Residentie Orcherstra and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orcherstra. In November 2002 he performed in the Weill Recital Hall of the Carnegie Hall in New York.
Anatoli has won many prizes in competitions for young musicians, among others the J. Fliere Concours, the sixth Youth Piano Competition in Moscow and the International Competition of Classical Heritage.
In 2000 and 2002 he received the 1st prizes at the national finals of  the “Princess Christina Concours” and  the “Steinway & Sons” piano competition and the prize for the best accompanist. Anatoli followed the masterclasses by Emanuel Ax, Martino Mirimo, Jan Wijn, Lev Naumov and Jerome Rose.
Anatoli is also the regular pianist of the Gypsy Ensemble “ Sintiromarus”.
