Passion and emotion are the keywords in this celebration of gipsy music. With their first CD the sparkling gipsy ensemble Sintiromarus presents music that inflames, that is melancholic and romantic. Music that urges to dance. Or makes one melt away into a soulful tear. Golden oldies from the Rumanian, Russian or Hungarian gipsy heritage brought to new life with a strikingly modern fervor.

Sintiromarus proves with dashing virtuosity and bravura this is music for now and forever. Polished in beautiful arrangements, not a speck of dust here, always true to its great tradition. Sintiromarus comprises two violins, cymbalom and piano. Played by musicians of various origins, with Roma, Sinti or Russian background (hence the ensemble’s name), backgrounds that are lovingly celebrated. Be it a Moldavian hora, Monti’s Csárdás, or the title composition ‘Latcho drom’ (pleasant journey). Sintiromarus brings gipsy music that from the very first measures of the opening composition ‘Basso’ wins its way into the heart.
