Born in Monopoli (Bari, South of Italy), he began to study music in early age, devoting to oboe and piano, then bass guitar and double bass.
He got a degree in classical bass with top marks (10/10) at the Conservatory "Nino Rota" of Monopoli in 2006 under the guidance of Michael Cellaro. He also attended the bass guitar studies at the University of Music and Percentomusica schools of Rome, where he had the chanche to study with Massimo Moriconi, Luca Pirozzi, Gianfranco Gullotto, Marco Siniscalco, Andrea Avena, Michelle Audisso, Massimo Fedeli, etc.
In 2006 he moved to Holland to specialize in Jazz at the prestigious Royal Conservatory of Den Haag (The Hague) , where he studied bass with Hein Van de Geyn, Frans van der Hoeven, Roelof Meijer, improvisation with the American saxophonist John Ruocco and the pianist Rob Van Bavel, harmony with the pianist Eric Gieben, and arrangement with Henk Huzinga, graduating in 2009 (9.50 / 10 cum laude).
In May 2011 he got the the title of Master Degree at the Royal Conservatory, presenting a thesis on Jazz teaching. He also had the chance to attend the lessons with: John Patitucci, Dave Liebman, Dave Holland, Barry Harris, Alain Caron, Mike Manieri, Harvie S., Steve La Spina, ecc. He features numerous collaborations, mainly in Jazz, but also in the classical and contemporary music. He has won numerous international awards including the 2001 Baronissi Jazz.
